South Kazakhstan Medical Academy A implements educational activity in 2 groups of specialties at undergraduate and postgraduate levels: public health and social welfare (medicine), engineering science and technologies. Contingent of learners is annually increasing that is due to growing demand in medical and pharmaceutical personnel in the Southern region. The composition of academy includes medical and pharmaceutical faculties, postgraduate education department, department of internship and graduates employment, faculty of specialists training with technical and professional education, faculty of continuous professional development. Highly qualified specialists such as doctors PhD in medical and pharmaceutical sciences, doctors of highest category, honored physicians of Kazakhstan, Academicians of public and national academies of sciences, the owners of the sign “Excellence in public health” work at the departments. Within the realization of multilingualism policy the training is conducted on 3 languages. Staff training is implemented in the close interaction with employers; dual training model is realized. In educational process module study programes are introduced, active training methods, simulation technologies and standardized patients are widely used in clinical training.
